YOGYAKARTA TRIP #2 | Taman Sari & Keraton Ngayogyakarta

WELCOME BACK!

So after talking about Filosofi Kopi, I am now going to tell about Taman Sari and Keraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat. Taman Sari (Water Castle) is one of the famous tourist sites in Yogyakarta. Taman Sari is a part of Yogyakarta Palace Complex along with Keraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat and has been recognized as World Heritage Sites since 1996. Build in the mid-18th century, this places used to become a recreation areas for the royal family back then. Keraton is mainly the places for royal family to live. The current Sultan is now Sultan Hamengkubuwono X. He and his family lives in the back part of the Keraton, while the front part open for public to enjoy the museum and learn about the heritage part of Keraton.
